The Nanyang government recently authorized 36 companies to build engineering and technological research centers and eight to build key laboratories in the city, according to the local technology division, on Feb 22.

The measure will boost innovation in Nanyang and stimulate local scientific and technological progress.

Currently, Nanyang leads Henan province in the number of engineering and technological research centers and key laboratories, with more than 300.

The Nanyang science and technology bureau will oversee and help guide and invest in the development of the research centers and key laboratories.

The research centers and laboratories are playing an important role in gathering innovative talents and resources, and enhancing the innovation of local enterprises.
