The city of Wenzhou, Zhejiang province is known for its business activity and opened a Chamber of Commerce in , Henan province, in 2004, so it celebrated its 11th anniversary, on Sept 15.

It has another reason to celebrate. Thanks to that Wenzhou business, the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce set up a branch in Nanyang in 2013, and its business people are increasing communications with Nanyang and helping develop its economy.

In that short period of time, at least 1,800 Chamber of Commerce members have put around 20 billion yuan ($ 3.14 billion) into restaurants, logistics, commercial, real estate, clothing, shoes, bags, hardware, and mechanical and electrical products in Nanyang.

And, as many as 50 000 Zhejiang business people have become an important force in the city’s economic growth. The chambers of commerce help protect member companies' rights and have encouraged more Zhejiang business people to invest in Nanyang. They also do their bit in social responsibility by donating as much as 10 million yuan to public activities.
